“Being in transition”
Welcome
My name
is Reneisha Ocshiana Smith and I’m delighted to welcome you to my Blog/Ministry”
Kingdom Daughter”. It is from a place of heartfelt passion and compassion for Christ and
the things concerning him, that I write these epistles to you. In hopes that
you will be Ministered to, Encouraged and Inspired through Christ regarding the
things he will place on my heart to share. May it contribute not only towards
the sprouting of your Faith but also the strengthening of your confidence in
Him. By the Power and Authority invested in me through Jesus Christ (Jeremiah
1:4-10) I decree your freedom from strongholds, that you might also be able to fully
Live and walk as you are Called to do in the body of Christ. Acknowledgment to God: “For Thine is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory, forever and ever
Amen”!
Has the Holy
Spirit been dealing with you about the things he has called you to do?
I’ve found myself between a rock and a hard place as most people would say. A place where I never expected to end up to say the least - In Transition, in which I’ve been elevated from one dimension to the next in my walk with the Lord. By meaning of the dictionary it is a “Movement, Passage, or change from one position; state; stage etc, to another”. I’d like to bring your attention to a few steps in the process of Transition that I’ve personally discovered; while still being fully aware that there might be numerous ways to such evolution:
I.
Lay down your life [Take up your Cross].I’ve found myself between a rock and a hard place as most people would say.
Mark 8:34-35”Whoever
desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his Cross, and
follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses
his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it”. Lay down your life- How is
this doable? To lay your life down is a hugh pill to swallow if you ask me. In
this Scripture it mentioned that Christ gave his Disciples and the people whom
he “Called” to him these instructions. My point is, this doing might not be a requirement
for every believer…but if you are
called by ‘HIM’, then it is compulsory. That you not only surrender your all to
him, but you must also take up your Cross (The things he allows you to go
through) and begin to walk totally in his “Will”.
Have you found yourself worried about the pain and suffering that Jesus went
through and if this will become your own? Don’t be, “YOUR” in the text speaks
specifically to the Testing and Trials that you will go through. It might
be light, thus easy to manage or you might even compare it to the one that
Jesus had to carry. Nonetheless, know that the Trials you face will Test your
Faith in a great way and therefore will produce perseverance in you. This
perseverance will allow you to finish the Work that God have called
you
to do in the first place and you’ll be fully matured; not lacking
anything. ..In verse 35, Christ made a bold statement that if you (Whom he has
called) should desire that which is not in him and follow your own path, you
will lose your life. The harsh reality is that only when you’ve evolved in your
thoughts that you must to die to your flesh and get in alignment with God…by accepting
his desires, purpose and will for your life, is when you’ll surely find
yourself and begin to live in His abundance.
II.
Find out who you are.
In order to evolve into the person that God has
created you to be, firstly, you must find your true identity In Christ. The
person you thought you were and the labels that have been placed on you by
people are not the truth. Forget the former things as the word of God says (Romans
12:2), but by the renewing of your mind become transformed rather than
conforming to the things and ideologies of this world. This means you not only
have to become radical in declaring God’s purpose over your life but you also
have to become discipline and deliberate in spending quality time with God as
well as in his Word. I know what you
might be thinking and don’t get me wrong; I’ve certainly been at that place
where I thought reading my bible was
‘Boring’ or I couldn’t understand a word I read which made me content with lies
that I would never be able to understand God’s word much more to believe it.
However, let me state boldly that
there is a hidden power within the word of God that will Transform your mind
the moment you allow it to by believing in it; from beginning to end. This
discovery wasn’t made overnight friends, through my period of transitioning the
Holy Spirit gave me a revelation that the Enemy is trying to rob us of our
destiny, and hence he’ll stop at no cause to prevent us from being in God’s
Presence and in ‘His’ Word. I promise you that if you just begin to see
yourself reading and believing God’s word about who he says you are and your
purpose in Him that you’ll also become transformed. His word can/will heal you
from the sin, loss, broke, insecure, damaged, fearful, negative, doubtful,
revengeful, promiscuous, wounded soul that you once were to becoming the Whole,
Radiant, Triumphant, Victorious and Confident person that he has created you to
be. Friends the moment I became purposeful about spending time in God’s
presence and his word; was the moment my perspective of who I was changed. I was also determined from there on to
embrace the Truth of Christ about me and walk in Authenticity. I encourage you
reading this very moment to seek the Lord and allow him to change your ‘Name’
as well. There is an abundance of Liberty and Power to gain when you become or decide to embrace the real you that God created.
III. Allow God to strip away your brokenness [So he can use you].
We all can
testify that we either were broken or, still are. Brokenness can form from a
lot of negative attributes, such as: Afflictions of our past, surroundings
(including our ‘friends’) even the voice of people that we’ve allowed to take
precedence over God’s in our lives. Personally, I’ve lived in a broken state of
mind almost all my life. I didn’t know any better, I surely wasn’t taught from
a young age how to Love myself or the depth of Unconditional Love. So I formed
my own understanding and philosophy, which boy…was I wrong. I found myself
struggling in deep waves of Insecurity, Low self esteem, lack of self-confidence,
Lack of self acceptance, (Just everything that was of Low regard, I perceived
and believed about myself.) In fact, from a tender age the very first lie that
I told myself was that I was a MISTAKE. See I was far from planned by my
parents and I wasn’t happily welcomed due to circumstances beyond their
control. My Mother would always share
the challenges of becoming a Young Mother with me (I’m sure she meant no harm
in her intriguing invites of trips down memory lane), but for me it steamed
questions about myself that only God could answer. I became a broken wreck by
the time I reached my teen and young adult years. “Lost, Lonely, Confused and
Depressed were my name. I dragged around my pain and afflictions from every
scene in my life to the present moment that existed. I was so depressed at one
point, that all I could think about was dying. The harsh Truth of my past might
remind you of a dark and scary movie you wouldn’t opted to watch; but by ‘His’
Grace and ‘His’ Power I’m not that person anymore…I no longer live in that
creepy old house. On the contrary I now reside in a hugh mansion built by my
Heavenly Father on the top of a hill where the Sun sets and rises a-new every
day. Ephesians 4:21-24 THE NEW MAN.
“ If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as
the truth is in Jesus: That ye put off concerning the former conversation, the
old man which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And
be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put
on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness”.
“Allow
God to strip you to your core”! Have you
grown weary of living a life based on people’s deception, perception and
influences of you or maybe you’ve become sick and tired of even dealing with
yourself. Nevertheless, I promise you that God will do an excellent job of
remolding your clay and fashioning you into the Likeness and Image of whom ‘He’
originally intended you to be from before sin was known to man. Furthermore, with
a new image and a new name we have full Permission and Authority given by God to step out of
the Will of the Nay-sayers and into
the Will of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, and as well to pursue our calling
in ‘Him’. In fact we should become deliberate in keeping our eyes on Him in
watch for the day that he says to move, for there will be a release of water
that will burst from within us, which will signify of that time. (I’m talking to a generation who are at the
point of transitioning towards their Destiny). This assignment cannot be taken
lightly, nor can we afford to be laid back or complacent...For When the DAMN
breaks we’ll have to be in a state of readiness in order for Destiny to be
fulfilled. Another dimension waits on the other side of our transition. Indeed
there are higher; deeper levels of God’s Glory to be reached…Will you go? It might not be
comfortable, it might not be easy…Will
you go? For too long some of us (including myself) have been on the road of
distraction, now it’s time to get on the highway to our destiny. You might
wonder to yourselves “How will I get to that place”? Friends, you have to have a made-up mind that
no matter what it takes for me to get to the other side to my destiny…” I’m
going”! It doesn’t matter who likes/accepts me, it doesn’t matter who believes
in me or encourages me. Know that there is enough Grace from your heavenly
father to sustain you and give you strength for the journey of your calling. We’ve got to build our selves
up in faith through the alignment of the Holy Spirit and His word. More
importantly, let us guard our hearts from people and things that might cause
Harm/Threat to the promises of God concerning our future by putting on the
whole Armor of God Ephesians 6:13-18. Sometimes that means staying quiet about
the dreams and desires that God has given us; sometimes it simply means
becoming free from people and committing ourselves only to pleasing God and working
for his Kingdom.
IV.
Stay focused.
Distractions will come to test your faith, but God
will make the provisions necessary for you to tap into once you acknowledge Him.
See, It is not what you focus on, but whom! Matt 14:30-31 “But when he saw that
the wind was boisterous, he was afraid: and beginning to sink he cried out,
saying ‘Lord save me!’ And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught
him, and said to him, ‘O you of little faith, why did you doubt?’ ” God called
Peter to walk on the water towards Him. No sooner had he stepping out of the
boat in obedience to Jesus’ instructions than he became distracted. When God
Called me to start this Ministry, I had no idea the distractions would be so
strong and the stronghold of ‘My will’ so intense. I’ve procrastinated; delayed
and wasted enough time before really getting serious and Dedicating myself to
doing His work. Surely, these strongholds couldn’t have been easily broken;
Like Peter I had to “Cry out to the Lord” in which He came right to my rescue.
The same is true about your own Life friends, God knows exactly how to refocus
your attention towards Him not only when the enemy distractions you but also
when you become polluted from situations in your surrounding that threatens to
hinder you or cause you to Doubt Him
like Peter did. God is not upset with us because we’ve taken our eyes off him,
He knew the storms would rage about us and the winds would roar, but still he said
“Come”. When Peter cried out to Jesus for Help, the passage says immediately He stretched out His
hand and caught him! This speaks volume to the God we serve and how faithful he
is and will forevermore be towards us.
Something to Ponder: Some of
the greatest prophets in the bible were fearful of their calling. {Joseph, Joshua, Daniel, Moses, Jeremiah,
Even Paul… Yes as Bold and confident as Paul became, he too once saw himself
as inadequate.} The truth is God’s calling can be so overwhelming that we as
humans feel inadequate for the task...let
me remind you, you’re not! Paul Understood these feelings perfectly, but
had a divine revelation of God in 2 Corinthians 3:5 when he Boldly declared “Not that we are adequate in ourselves to consider
anything as coming from
ourselves, but our adequacy is from God” … He also acknowledged in Philippians
4:13 “I can do all things through Him who
strengthens me.” In Joshua 1:9; The Lord told Joshua “Be strong and
courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God
will be with you wherever you go”. Finally my ‘Testimony’ and absolute favorite
reminder comes from Jeremiah 1:5-9 of who God says I am. “ Before I
formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the
womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. Then
said I, Ah, Lord God! Behold, I cannot
speak: for I am a child. But the Lord said unto me, Say not, I
am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I
command thee thou shalt speak. Be not afraid of
their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the Lord. Then
the Lord put forth his hand, and
touched my mouth. And the Lord said unto me, Behold, I
have put my words in thy mouth.” Allow the power and sovereignty of God’s words to seep into your hearts
and renew your mind.
Prayer:
Lord, thank you for this
ministry that you have birthed. Thank you for the impartation of Knowledge and
wisdom in me through your Son Jesus Christ. I pray your anointing upon these
words that It’ll touch every eye and heart that will read. Bless them even now
that through reading, something will begin to shift on the inside of your
children and their Minds and Lives will become transformed through your Love
and Amazing Grace. Amen!
Benediction: 2 Thessalonians 3:16-18 . Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every
way. The lord be with you all. 17 The salutation of Paul with my own hand, which is a sign in every epistle; So I write. 18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
