'Adorn'

"I have fallen in love with a man that my attraction runs deeper than beauty
It is no infatuation or façade why I’m so desperate for his love, but for He first loved me.. and as I discovered, the perfect mate to my soul.
When I was too blind to see, He stood still like an angel patiently waiting for me.
When the initial thoughts of us forced me to run and hide, with acts of compassion and loyalty he honored me…to him our future was but a mystery because he already wrote the ending.
This to be true, our love knows no boundary and here being where his found me is:
Unconditional; at my worst, He saw the in best me
So trustworthy; He turned my doubts into confidence
Always genuine; we didn’t need to mask it
So on ending; I just can’t get past it!"

Because he Miguel is such an amazing artist I was transfixed by his song Adorn. As I listened for the last time, I heard God’s voice peering through the lyrics that in the same way He wanted to prove His love to me and you... to become the ultimate lover in our lives!

As wonderful a feeling, the Love from another person, it can never be compared to God’s Agape love. It is actual and factual that He created you which then means- He’s the only one who can help you see the vision for the things you might have endured in shaping who you are today. Furthermore, because the things you’ve endure might have left you deeply scared and wounded, it is impossible to fully love someone while still in this state of mind. You have to become whole and complete into who God has called you to be.  But even in this process of refinement and completion - If we are not careful, we’ll do ‘things’ for its name sake and call it love. When the reality is, out of our desperation we become codependent and never fully encounter the love of God.
I know this to be true because I spent many years stagnant in a dream thinking that getting married and hopefully having a beautiful family one day would solve all my problems, mend my brokenness and even heal my past wounds. Never taking the time to recognize God’s desire not only for me to be healed and become whole, but more importantly to fall in love with Him before falling in love with anyone else.

Likewise you’ll have to do the same at some point in your life - let go and give your mess over to God. He needs the best and the worst parts of you. Success, life accomplishments, wounds, scars, infections, even the awful things that make you cringe.  See in order to honor God, you have to trust His grace~ that it is sufficient for all your sins, and can make a new man out of you. The truth is God has never been cautious with how much He loves us. He was, is and forever will be- merciful, gracious and a sweet compassionate friend.

Therefore you don’t have to change His definition of love to fit anything that you’ve done or to meet who you’ve become, because God doesn’t change… He is love! The reality is that life is guaranteed to come at us~ no matter who we are or how far we run. Surely then, your story will not be for everyone to accept nor understand, but I can assure you that it will serve for a purpose and there is yet a place for you and your testimony in the body of Christ. So which ever end of the spectrum you find yourself for love; in high demand or low supply.
~If you would just for a moment, forget about yourself and the distractions in your mids– You will hear God’s voice whispering in your ears...
…..“LET MY LOVE ADORN YOUR

“… I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with loving-kindness I have drawn you… You shall again be adorned.” Jeremiah 31:3-4
