"BID ME TO COME!"

God reminded me of the story of Peter walking on water, in Matthew chapter 14. Peter decided by faith that he wanted to go higher and do what was impossible. 

For context, Jesus just completed another astonishing miracle {He fed about 50000 men, besides women and children}, from only five loaves of bread and two fishes. Matt 14: 19-20 "Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people. They all ate and were satisfied... 

WOW!

I imagine how this must have left a great impression on the hearts of the disciples to bear witness to such miracles.

Jesus then instructed the disciples to get into a boat and go ahead of him to the next town, while he stayed behind to pray. Later that night he decided to join them, by "walking on the Lake", which terrified the disciples. 

Peter saw this as a huge opportunity to get closer to Jesus. He wanted to go higher in faith, by putting Jesus to the ultimate test.  

"Matthew 14:28 "Lord if it is you, bid me to come to you on the water!"..Jesus said, "COME"

Sidenote: God will never stop you from dreaming big and having great faith for miracles. HE WANTS US TO DREAM BIG, AND TO BELIEVE!

Peter already knew he wanted more for his life and relationship with God. He also knew he needed God for this Outlandish ask. So he said "If it is you"...or in other words, if this is your will for me to do...then give me your hand and strength to do it, grant me the resources, and allow it to happen. 

"Bid me to come"!

Prayer: " Father, if it is you speaking to my heart at this moment, then I ask that you open up the floodgates for me (according to your will), to do great and mighty things in my life, AMEN.
